In Canada, beverage alcohol is under the jurisdiction of provincial and territorial governments through their liquor boards, and all products must be approved by them before being accepted for import. This is done through a listing process for each product with the submission of a Listing Application and samples.
Each of these liquor boards is autonomous, and operates under their own policy and guidelines. As an import agent, The Delf Group Inc is familiar with the differences in the listing procedures of each of these governments, and are aware of opportunities for specific products as they arise in the individual markets.
In order for us to act on your behalf once a product is listed, it is necessary for the BCLDB / AGLC / MLCC / SLGA to be advised that you have appointed us as your representative, and have your authorization. This permits us to request or produce Purchase Orders. In BC, products will be approved for sale in the government liquor stores or declined for specialty listing and approved only for a restricted listing, accessible to restaurants and private shops only.
Our freight forwarding is managed by ContainerWorld.
